She is responsible for leading the strategic, financial, and administrative components of the organization, while stewarding the resources entrusted to Habitat Minnesota in a manner that supports our mission and advances affordable homeownership. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Cristen was the Senior Director of Programs and Services at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity and the Chief Operating Officer at Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council. Cristen holds a B.A. in Mathematics from the University of Wisconsin – River Falls, a Masters in Higher Education & Student Affairs from the Ohio State University, and is a Real Estate Diversity Initiative Graduate through the Urban Land Institute.

She partners closely with the President & CEO to chart future growth and strategic direction for Habitat Minnesota and oversees the lending team’s efforts to expand Habitat Minnesota’s scope and reach as a Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI). Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Becca worked for a local mortgage lender and has served as a pastor at two churches. Becca holds a Leadership in Affordable Housing Certificate from Hamline University, a Mini MBA for Nonprofit Organizations from the University of St. Thomas, a Masters of Divinity from Bethel Seminary, and a B.A. in English from Bethel University.

He is responsible for leading efforts related to developing and implementing affordable ownership opportunity creation and preservation. This includes land development, construction strategies, environmental sustainability, technical assistance and training, public funding partnerships, and more. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Jeremy worked in the construction industry for 25 years. Jeremy’s experience in the industry gave him a wealth of knowledge from commercial build outs, restorations, and disaster relief.

She is responsible for leading efforts to mobilize and engage Minnesota’s local Habitat offices in advocacy and public policy efforts specifically supporting just and fair housing policy. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Jeru was the Advocacy Manager for Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota and managed a social enterprise and vocational training program for youth and young adults experiencing barriers to employment. Jeru holds a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Macro MSW from Augsburg University.

He is responsible for leading finance operations, overseeing financial statements, financial analysis, and systems management. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Phil was a trainer and lender at Propel Nonprofits, the Director of Finance at Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA), the Director of Finance and Administration at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, and he served on the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches. Phil holds a B.A. in History and Political Science from Concordia College.

She manages and maintains Habitat Minnesota affiliate and nonprofit lending programs, including budgeting and program planning, developing new financial products and services, and advancing Habitat affiliate production through these tools in our state. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Valerie worked for Community Development Financial Institutions (CDFIs) and nonprofit organizations for almost four years as a loan officer, underwriter, and financial consultant for commercial businesses. Before joining the nonprofit world, she worked in lending and banking. Valerie holds an MBA with a concentration in finance from Hamline University.

She is responsible for leading Habitat Minnesota’s strategic lending programs and project managing key lending priorities. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Devon supported technical assistance work at Minnesota Housing Partnership and worked on the City of Minneapolis’s budget team. Early in her career, she worked at the CDFI Fund and managed affordable homeownership and rental programs at Minnesota Housing. Devon holds an MA in City & Regional Planning from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and a BA in Urban Studies from Macalester College.

She is responsible for leading the Advancement Department and partnering with foundations, individuals, and businesses to meet fundraising goals. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Kristin was the Special Event Coordinator at The ALS Association (Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota Chapter) and a Marketing and Events Assistant at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. She was an active member of the Habitat for Humanity campus chapter at Luther College. Kristin holds a B.A. in Business Management and Spanish from Luther College.

She is responsible for providing opportunities for capacity building and training for Minnesota Habitat affiliates, coordinating internal communications, and working to demonstrate the impact of Habitat for Humanity in Minnesota through data. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Kaitlyn was an intern at Milkweed Editions, a consultant for the University of St. Thomas Center for Writing, and an office assistant at the Registrar’s Office. Kaitlyn holds a B.A. in English and Business Management from the University of St. Thomas.

Brianna holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Winona State University.

She administrates and runs Habitat Minnesota’s grant funding programs, providing necessary down-payment assistance and gap financing that aid in making Habitat homes more affordable. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Ambar worked in lending, banking, and real estate for a variety of companies and nonprofits. Ambar holds a degree in statistics and finance from the University of Central Ecuador.

She is responsible for effectively navigating the legislative landscape within Minnesota while concurrently strengthening community advocacy capacities. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Maegan was a Law Review Intern at the Attorney General’s Ministry of Belize, an International Student Counselor at St. Olaf College, and a Manager for St. Olaf College Football. Maegan holds an International Baccalaureate Diploma from United World College Changshu China and is currently working towards a B.A. in Political Science and Asian Studies at St Olaf in Northfield, Minnesota.

She is responsible for month-end accounting for trustee relationships and supporting the loan and grant department with mortgage assignments, spreadsheets documenting construction costs, and more. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Dawn was the Vice President at Wells Fargo Corporate Trust working directly with Habitat Minnesota as one of her housing customers. Dawn holds a B.A. Hospital Financial Management and Accounting from Concordia College and earned a CPA license.
