Cristen Incitti, President and CEO

As a Habitat Minnesota team member since January 2020, Cristen Incitti leads the Habitat for Humanity of Minnesota team in achieving our mission of serving, advocating for and advancing the work for Minnesota’s Habitat for Humanity affiliates so we can create and preserve more affordable homeownership opportunities for families and communities.

Prior to joining Habitat Minnesota, Cristen spent more than a decade working in the fields of nonprofit management and higher education. She held leadership positions with the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin – Badgerland Council as Chief Operating Officer and the Senior Director of Programs and Services at Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. During her time at Twin Cities Habitat, she played a key role in developing new programs designed to help families access homeownership and build assets including developing and implementing a new affordable mortgage product, growing strategic partnerships in the Twin Cities to reach new demographics and communities, and launching an internal effort to create a more culturally competent and equitable organization. She spent several years leading community service and student leadership development at The Ohio State University and New Student Orientation programs at Northern Kentucky University.

In addition to her work, Cristen has served on various nonprofit and community boards, including serving as a Board member with Minnesota Housing Partnership and the Middleton-Cross Plains Area School District Education Foundation, and participated in leadership development programs, completing Leadership Greater Madison, Leadership Twin Cities, and the YWCA Racial Justice Training & Certificate Program. Cristen holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education from The Ohio State University and has led Habitat Global Village trips to Ethiopia, Costa Rica, and Mozambique.

Kristin Skaar
Kristin SkaarAdvancement Director
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since March 2014, Kristin directs Habitat Minnesota’s communications strategy and fundraising activities, including Give to the Max Day, foundation giving, annual giving, corporate sponsorships, monthly giving, and stewardship activities. Kristin previously coordinated Habitat Minnesota’s Habitat 500 Bike Ride and fundraising events at The ALS Association, MN/ND/SD Chapter and Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity. Kristin has a degree in business management and Spanish from Luther College, where she was president of the Habitat campus chapter.

Becca Seidel
Becca SeidelLoan & Grant Portfolio Director
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since May 2018, Becca supports the affiliates throughout the mortgage origination process, ensuring compliant loans and aiding in retention of additional resources. She also manages the current affiliate grant programs and the loan fund portfolio. Becca previously worked at a local mortgage lender in a variety of capacities and pastored local churches. She has degrees from Bethel University in English and Theology with a concentration in cross-cultural studies.

Jeru Gobeze
Jeru GobezeAdvocacy Director
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since January 2023, Jeru is responsible for mobilizing and engaging Minnesota’s Habitat offices in advocacy and public policy efforts, specifically supporting just and fair housing policy. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, Jeru worked as Lutheran Social Service of MN’s Advocacy Manager to develop and build advocacy capacity and action. Jeru also has experience working in child welfare policy reform, accessibility resources, and workforce development. Prior to her policy and advocacy work, Jeru managed a nonprofit social enterprise and vocational training program for youth and young adults experiencing barriers to employment such as homelessness or a disability. Jeru holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from the University of Minnesota and a Master of Social Work from Augsburg University.

Jeremy Beier
Jeremy BeierSustainable Building Director
As part of the Habitat Minnesota team since March of 2023, Jeremy is responsible for developing and implementing our production and preservation efforts of more affordable ownership opportunities. This includes land development and construction strategies, environmental sustainability technical assistance and training, public funding partnerships, and other efforts that support the goal of creating more affordable ownership, statewide.

Jeremy joined Habitat Minnesota with 25 years of experience in the construction industry. During that time he created a construction division at a restoration company and worked as a project manager in the disaster relief sector for 6 years. Jeremy holds a wealth of knowledge from working with a large diverse group of people over his career.

Phil Hatlie
Phil HatlieFinance Director
Phil joined the Habitat Minnesota team as a consultant in January 2023. Prior to Habitat Minnesota, Phil was a trainer and lender at Propel Nonprofits for 17 years, with the last two years as the Director of the Lending Program and the Fiscal Sponsorship Program. Phil’s employment history includes includes time as the Director of Finance at the Higher Education Consortium for Urban Affairs (HECUA), Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity, and the Greater Minneapolis Council of Churches. He has done many trainings and many hours of technical assistance for nonprofits and boards around nonprofit finance and fiscal management.

Kaitlyn Meyers
Kaitlyn MeyersCommunications & Events Project Manager
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since June 2016, Kaitlyn manages the organization’s communications, including newsletters, data reports, website, and social media. She also coordinates the biennial Statewide Training Conference and recently sunset Habitat 500 Bike Ride, as well as other trainings. Kaitlyn originally joined the organization as an intern to help facilitate the 2016 Habitat 500 Bike Ride. She has a degree in English and general business management from the University of St. Thomas.

Brianna Jonas
Brianna JonasPR & Content Creation Specialist
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since January 2020, Brianna supports advocacy, communications, and special events, and provides graphic design and social media expertise. Brianna originally joined the organization as a special events intern to help facilitate the 2020 Statewide Conference and Habitat 500 Bike Ride. Before joining Habitat Minnesota, she was an intern for Dress for Success Twin Cities, a communications intern at Habitat for Humanity Serving Winona County, a communication intern at Cotter Schools, and was a graphic designer at Winona State University. Brianna has a degree in Mass Communications Public Relations from Winona State University.

Susie George
Susie GeorgeAdministrative Assistant & Office Manager
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since October 2022, Susie is responsible for providing administrative support to the full Habitat Minnesota staff and board of directors. Her work includes office operations, supporting programs through data entry and management, meeting coordination, document preparation, filing, and supporting Habitat Minnesota events such as the Statewide Conference.

Susie joined Habitat MN with a variety of work and volunteer roles, including news photographer, program producer, marketing manager, product sales director, mortgage loan officer, and an immigration team volunteer in Tucson, AZ, at a welcoming center for asylum seekers and people forced to migrate.

Dawn Hill
Dawn HillLoan & Grants Coordinator
As a Habitat Minnesota team member since fall 2020, Dawn supports the loan and grants department doing monthly accounting reconciliations, mortgage assignments, spreadsheets documenting construction costs, and more. Before officially joining the team, Dawn was in the Corporate Trust Department at Wells Fargo, and Habitat Minnesota was her customer. Dawn has been associated with Habitat Minnesota since it was started. Through the years, she was a part of Habitat 2000, the 21st Century Fund, and the Next 1000 Homes programs from the trustee side.
